Now, having read my terrible, terrible MMO article, you’ll know I’m an RPG fan boy and back before I ever got seriously into consoles I would play Dungeons and Dragons with friends. So, when I was shown Wizards and Warrior, my balls should have went numb, though seeing as this was well before puberty and I even knew what girls were for that’s highly unlikely. Released in 2000 for the PC. Developed by heuristic park and released by Activision. It was one of my first rpgs. While I can’t remember much of the game itself, I remember loving it all the same and creating dwarves and pixie characters naming them after my brother and friends just because it was funny for me to do so. While I know there is a NES game of the same title I never played them but will possibly make an attempt to do so.  The story is pretty much atypical of fantasy rpgs, there’s a great evil coming so you have to go and find a magical sword to smack it with. It offered character advancement as well, something I don’t really see very much of these days possibly because I throw hours of my life and a sizeable chunk of my wages at MMOs. But going from a generic warrior to a samurai was pretty cool.

What do you think?
