Top 5 Games we want from the Marvel Universe

FOUR – Doctor Strange

Next up, we’ve got Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Stephen Strange. A game based on the mystical superhero would give Marvel a chance to showcase a side of the Marvel Universe unlike any other, and create a crazy, unique and straight up mind-bending gaming experience. Stephen Strange was once a brilliant neurosurgeon, the best of the best – he was also an arrogant jerk, who cared for no one but himself. One day, however, Strange was the victim of a severe car accident. Though he was successfully restored back to health and left virtually unscarred, no amount of surgery was able to repair his hands, which suffered from uncontrollable trembling, thus ending Strange’s lucrative career as a neurosurgeon. Unwilling to accept this fate, Strange went out into the world to try and find a miracle cure for the damage, and eventually comes across the Ancient One. The Ancient One accepts him as his student, and teaches him the way of sorcery, alongside fellow student [and eventual foe] Baron Mordo. After dedicating himself to training in the mystical arts, Strange is eventually given the title of Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme.

The game would serve well featuring multiple locations, each with unique mechanics, inhabitants and visuals. The game could feature a story resulting in Strange travelling through dimensions in order to prevent some kind of cataclysm, or could be something much more personal, like trying to find the fabled Panacea in order to save his faithful servant and dear friend Wong from losing his battle with cancer [read: Doctor Strange: The Oath], and could feature a supporting cast of Marvel’s many magic wielding characters, including the Scarlet Witch, Agatha Harkness, Doctor Voodoo, and many more. The game would naturally have the player gain access to new spells and items as they progress, and these would all affect the world around them in different ways depending on the particular world/dimension the player currently finds themselves in. Strange’s home, the Sanctum Sanctorum, would serve as a hub for the player to improve their abilities and gear, and to access the multiple worlds the game would feature.
