Destiny 2 (PS4/Xbox One)
This one’s more of a hope than anything with concrete proof. Back in February 2016, Bungie confirmed that a full blown sequel to their wildly popular sci fi shooter would be released in 2017. The MMO/FPS hybrid gameplay of Destiny was tuned to perfection, the satisfying shooting mechanics complemented by excellent character design and interesting lore.  It was a huge success for Bungie, and a sequel (perhaps one that lets players download their old Guardians) would be very much appreciated.

Crackdown 3 (Xbox One)
Crackdown 3 has remained in the twilight zone for far too long. Originally revealed at Gamescon 2015, the super powered sandbox title went dark. It was delayed for a while, probably due in part to ironing out the kinks in its extremely ambitious destruction engine. Using cloud computing to beef up the processing power of the Xbox One, Crackdown 3 boasts fully destructible environments that crumble and collapse in real time. Shoot out a skyscrapers’’ supports, and it’ll topple onto the city, creating a ripple of unique demolition. Throw in transforming vehicles, futuristic weaponry, and a handful of crazy superpowers, and this is an insane Xbox exclusive that you really won’t want to miss.
Days Gone (PS4)
The Zombie Apocalypse has never been more popular than in 2017. The success of TV shows like The Walking Dead and games such as…well, The Walking Dead have seen the undead rotters shamble across all of our screens. Perhaps, then, we’d thought we’d seen it all, the genre too over saturated to allow a fresh spin to surface. However, Sony proved us wrong with the reveal of Days Gone at E3 last year, a third person actioner set in a post apocalyptic world. Biker turned mercenary Deacon St.John plies his deadly trade to survive in a dangerous world infested with vicious undead. Screeching zombies literally swarm after you like ants, and you’ll need to sue makeshift tools and weapons on the fly if you want to stay alive. Days Gone looks like a truly nerve racking take on the zombie genre, and we can’t wait to see some more of its’ run down open world.
