Far Cry Primal

Firstly Takkar must learn to gather resources, plants, wood, stone and animal skins, then he needs to learn how to craft them into all manner of weapons and usable objects. There is a multitude of resources scattered all over Oros, as you would imagine some of them are much harder to find than others. Takkar cannot really get into crafting until he forms allegiances with a number of characters who he must persuade them to join the village, which will in turn unlock certain crafting skills.

“Lions and Tigers and Bears …. Oh my!”

You will quickly realise that you need to hunt a lot of animals to get the skins you need to progress or to craft, the only problem with that is that most of the animals are bigger, scarier and a lot more aggressive than you are! So stealth is definitely your friend in Far Cry Primal, you will also encounter lots of hunters from other tribes who will try to kill you on sight. You start the game with quite a small area exposed, the map follows the standard Far Cry format and will display the main animal in that area, this helps you identify where to find what you are looking for, but be warned this is an open world game and the animals will roam freely so you may encounter something you don’t expect at any time. Imagine the surprise of hunting a cautious and easily startled deer and coming face to face with a Brown Bear or an overly aggressive Cave Lion!
