With Dark Souls 3 just mere hours away from its release outside of Japan, the anticipation has come to a boil. As someone who was very critical of Dark Souls 2, and even souls successor Bloodborne in some respects. I’m left cautiously optimistic about Dark Souls 3. I’m here today to highlight what improvements that could be made to Dark Souls 3 to make it the ultimate package. With Miyazaki at the helm, and his first, and last return to Dark Souls since 2011. It’s a safe bet that Dark Souls 3 will be the sequel that many fans have been waiting for since the original Dark Souls.
Weapon Variety
One of the things that contributed to Bloodborne’s lack of replay ability was the lack of weapons to play with. Coming off from the Dark Souls series 100-200 weapons per entry to Bloodborne’s mere 16 weapons, gave series veterans some pause. Thankfully it’s looking that Dark Souls 3 will feature much more of that extensive weapon variety, and quantity that we’ve grown to enjoy. Bloodborne feature of trick weapons looks to be integrated in a intelligent way here with the “Weapon Arts System”. Giving you access to a new special move set of that set weapon, or type. Taking Bloodborne’s best feature of combat the “trick weapon” system, and combining with the Dark Souls series ample amount of weapons, and quality is sure to make an exciting amalgamation that fans should be very excited for.
