Gunscape Review

Gunscape is a FPS/build game, think Doom (early version) spliced with Minecraft, brought to us by Blowfish Studios. Gunscape allows users to create their own maps for other users to do battle on.

Maps are pixelated like The old doom games and also plays like them, however the enemies vary and are slightly strange when you come across them. I was fighting Zombies then Nazis all the way to Dinosaurs which was hilarious as I ran out of ammo and only had my fists to do the talking…#Jurassicparksignmeup

At first glance the game is appealing but after you get into the swing of things it becomes quite an enjoyable game and brings a sense of nostalgia from old school games I grew up on.

The checkpoints work to your advantage also as the enemies you kill before you die stay dead and the ammo respawns in the place it once was before you pick it up.

It has a split screen mode which allows players to co-op the missions or just go head to head in the arenas that other players have created.

The building element of the game can be slightly annoying as the controls feel fast and jumpy, I also found a few glitches that made the game slightly easy, one boss I had to face glitches through the wall and had its head sticking out…all I had to do it shoot and bobs your uncle I win.

What do you think?
