Hitman finally has its release on the big boys of the console world, Xbox One and PS4. IO Interactive and Square Enix bring Agent 47 back into the swing of things with their latest installment.
The game starts of in a prequel where Agent 47 is being interrogated, during this you begin the tutorial, in the tutorial you must follow the path that is laid out for you and take out your target, it is pretty straightforward go here do this, do that etc. once you have passed the first test you revisit the same mission but this time with all the freedom in the world. You can choose to kill your target in several different ways. Whether it is drowning him why giving him a whirly (putting his head down the toilet) or strangling him with your trusty garrote. There are many ways to achieve your goal it’s just up to you on how you do it.
“I had no option but to eliminate her…mouthy old bat.”
Once you’re done with that part of the tutorial you then embark on a small mission where you have to eliminate this bloke who is being guarded by the russian army, again there are many ways to kill him but throughout the mission you eavesdrop on conversations which are set ups for unique ways to kill your target, the one i did allowed me to disguise myself as a mechanic and tamper with the ejector seat in the ship then that sorry sod went flying ha.

The game has a really nice look about it, with fully immerse NPCs that live with the game, literally i bumped into a lady that spilt her drink and she ran off crying as i followed her to apologise (you can’t by the way) she called security on me and started to shout creep. I had no option but to eliminate her…mouthy old bat.
Visually it is class, now there are better looking games out at the moment but for a Hitman game it does the job, the sounds are immense and accurate but where this game seriously falls short is in its content.
You have to purchase the missions…yes you heard right. Unless you brought the Full experience version, all the missions are unavailable unless you buy them. You can play online created ones but the actual missions that are part of the main games aren’t even out yet, you only have the Paris mission that is currently available, Square Enix have decided that an episodic release for missions was the right way to go here…in my opinion they were dead wrong by a long shot. With the intro pack sitting at around £11.59 and the full experience selling for £44.99 i would recommend buying the full experience as the upgrade is £36.79 and with the intro pack added to that costs £48.38 in total, now if you don’t like it then you’re stuck with it but the intro pack doesn’t offer an incentive to buy the full game as the tutorial is very lacking.

I find it appalling that they have released a game with one mission, and for the price of it i’m saddened by this, i loved the old hitman games and Blood money was a classic it seems they have just dropped the ball on this with the missions, the game itself as previously touched on looks stunning and plays really well…well i mean the controls are a little bit sideways at times and the animation when you put a body in a crate almost looks like you just jumped ahead of time in a split second.
