Doodle god has arrived on console, after many years on the app stores for mobiles, JoyBits decided to bring it to your home consoles.
Cool… what did they change…Nothing. But they charged £7.99 for it…but it is the ultimate edition…I DON’T CARE, putting Ultimate Edition next to a game doesn’t make it better, the content is the same as is on mobile, at least the mobile version is easy to control. Controlling Doodle God is flimsy and damn right annoying.
You’re tasked with creating things with elements available to you, like fire and water make steam etc. Well in the main game this goes on for around 242 elements then you can try the small episodes like decades where you make items that were created in their said era, like the birth of the television etc. This is basically the game, I was really looking forward to it but I feel the console version has really put the game on a path that it doesn’t belong. Charging £7.99 for a game that was free a few years ago. Is really a kick in the face to fans.
The visuals are exactly the same and there is no improvement in sound for the game. In fact, the only noticeable thing that I saw is the controls which I already mentioned are obviously different to the app version and they make the game a massive cluster fuck of emotion. I’m really disappointed with this, in fact, i completed it in 2hrs due to the fact I have a good memory and completed it on my phone after all those journey’s home after work.
