Dungeon Defenders II: Protean Shift Expansion Available Now on Xbox One

Our free Protean Shift expansion for Dungeon Defenders II is now available to download on Xbox One.

Protean Shift brings tons of new weapons for every hero, new systems that enable players to keep the items that they like throughout the games progression by using new materials to upgrade their strength, evolve them to higher tiers, and the ability to turn any piece of equipment into a Legendary. Got an awesome weapon from a boss during the campaign that you don’t want to replace?  Now you can use our new systems to keep it as long as you want!  Some of these new weapons even have special additional effects, like the ability to Shrinkinate your foes.

In addition to these new upgrade systems, loot will drop with over 120 new mods on them, providing new powers for players to use in their builds.  You can also use a system, Tinkering, to move those mods around on your gear to make your ideal setup.

There are also two new game modes, Adventures and Expeditions, that will give players more choice over their personal progression.

Last, but definitely not least, we’ve added the ability for players to host their own Player Shops and exchange and sell items with each other anywhere in the game.  You can even enter our new Markets to join like-minded merchants to trade goods in these new social hubs.
