Tales from the Borderlands Episode 5 – The Vault of the Traveler
Tales from the Borderlands has been a rollercoaster ride with plenty of twists and turns but sadly the final episode in the series based on the Borderlands universe reaches its climax in “The Vault of the Traveler”.
Well Hyperion is under new management, continuing the story from the end of the previous episode as Handsome Jack and Rhys have taken over, but from this everything starts to turn to crap as the Meglomaniac Jack turns to his killing ways, which puts not just Rhys in danger but all the gang as they must escape Hyperion and Handsome Jack’s wrath.

The final episode sees all the characters that you have crossed paths with throughout the series, that is the ones that are still alive of course. The final episode will shock you with a few surprises no more than the mysterious bounty hunter that has Fiona and Rhys captive is finally unmasked.
Tales from the Borderlands continues to have the mixture of action sequences and Active timed Button sections, but the story really has you on the edge throughout never knowing what will come next from what choices you make.
Throughout Episode 5 a lot of people are killed off, yet some make a miraculous comeback for the finale as you take on the huge boss “The Traveller” at the end where you must rally the troops to take it down with the help of Gortys in his final form, there is a moment in this battle were their is a sublimely Power Rangers parody moment, yes you will notice is when you see it.
To that end i have to admit that the storytelling and the humour have made this one of the best in the Telltale series and yes even though the ending that i choose was a little disappointing and lacking any WOW!! factor it did end the series on positive note as Fiona and Rhys open the vault and disappear into thin air leaving it open for a follow up.
